Good afternoon,

We have had such a great week in school.  I am so proud of all our children but want to make a special mention of our Reception children.  They have been smiling all week and have adjusted to full days quickly.  I have seen them in 2 PE lessons this week as well as lots of acting and role play outside.

I have had the pleasure of spending time in each class this week which included Computing, Life skills, Art, PE and English.  Our Goldfinch children are leading by example.

Mrs Baker led a Stay and Read session which was well attended and we thank you for your support.  The children always enjoy such events and I know there were some great questions asked.

Throughout the week we provide a varied offer for collective worship.  On Thursday Mrs Wirth was proud to award each of our Year 6 pupils with a Prefect badge as well as our first Heart of the Community badge to Noah.

Congratulations to all our pupils who have been elected for School Council.  They have already met with our Chair and Vice Chair of Governors which was a lovely welcome to the role.

Next week we will begin our lunchtime clubs. Letters for football club will go out on Monday for KS2.  Gymnastics club on a Thursday will begin on 24th September.  If you have any questions regarding the clubs on offer, please ask or have a look at the website.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I look forward to another busy and exciting week.  Earlier in the week, I sent an email regarding our parent consultation on our school values.  Thank you to those who have signed up.  I include the link here.  There will be coffee and pastries if that can tempt you!
