Junior Duke Award
We are delighted to offer the Junior Duke Award as part of our wider commitment to developing confident, resilient and independent learners.
The Junior Duke Award is a nationally recognised programme that encourages children to learn and practise valuable life skills beyond the classroom. Through a range of fun and engaging challenges, pupils develop independence, responsibility, perseverance and self-confidence whilst learning practical skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
The award includes activities such as organisation, first aid, communication, problem-solving, helping at home, learning new skills and taking on personal challenges. Children work towards completing a series of age-appropriate tasks, celebrating their achievements along the way.
At our school, we believe that education is about much more than academic success. The Junior Duke Award supports our vision of developing well-rounded young people who are prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the future. It encourages children to step outside their comfort zones, show determination when faced with difficulties and take pride in their personal achievements.
We look forward to working in partnership with families as children complete their challenges and gain the skills, confidence and resilience that will help them succeed both in school and beyond.
